Erosion Resistance and High Pressure and High Temperature Corrosion Resistance of Tungsten Carbide Hard Alloys

Abstract
The erosion resistance and corrosion resistance of tungsten carbide hard alloys with three different compositions were studied by erosion test and high temperature and high pressure corrosion test. The results show that under the impact of high-speed fluid carrying solid micro-particles, the binder phase in hard alloys was washed away, causing the WC particles to lose support and fall off. The higher the WC content, the greater the hardness and the better the relative erosion resistance of the hard alloys. The higher the Ni content in hard alloys, the stronger the corrosion resistance of the hard alloys.
