Monitoring and Analysis of Electrical Interference of East China UHVDC Grounding Electrodes to Gas Pipeline

Though monitoring and analyzing the potential data of gas pipelines in Zhejiang Province, the influence range of ultra high voltage direct current (UHVDC) grounding electrodes in monopole operation mode in East China on pipeline and the insulation protection effect of insulated joints were studied. Based on the current operation status of gas pipelines in Zhejiang Province, relevant suggestions and countermeasures were pointed out. The results indicate that the influence range of high voltage direct current grounding electrodes was much larger than the range given by standard, and insulated joints could provide a good insulation effect on DC interference protection.
