    Corrosion Monitoring of Grounding Net Based on Hollow Inflatable Seal Corrosion Unit

    • A corrosion monitoring device for grounding net based on a pre-embedded indicator unit was proposed and developed. A corrosion unit with hollow inflatable sealed state was connected to the grounding net, and the same kind of corrosion reaction occurred when the grounding net conductor was also buried in the soil. When the corrosion depth of the grounding conductor was equal to the thickness of the corrosion unit, the corrosion unit was perforated by corrosion and became unsealed, and the corrosion state of the corrosion unit was judged by the sealing performance of the detection device. The feasibility test of the developed detection device was carried out in the laboratory, and the corresponding simulation model was established according to the device size and parameters. The results show that the device could clearly reflect the corrosion state of the corrosion unit, and the simulation results were in good agreement with the test results. The device can realize the function of monitoring the corrosion state of the grounding net without excavation.
