    Progress of Permanent Copper/Saturated Copper Sulfate Reference Electrode

    • In cathodic protection system, permanent copper/saturated copper sulphate reference electrode is a common reference electrode used in buried oil and gas facilities to measure potential and ensure the constant potential operation of the system. The early failure of reference electrode often leads to the failure of cathodic protection system or the unreliability of potential measurement value. Firstly, the influence factors that cause the failure of permanent copper/saturated copper sulfate reference electrode are analyzed, then the methods and research results of improving permanent copper/saturated copper sulfate reference electrode at home and abroad are summarized. Finally, the development directions of permanent copper/saturated copper sulfate reference electrode are prospected.
