Abstract
The prepared cement concrete was sealed and cured with silicon penetrant. The compressive strength, surface hardness, abrasion resistance, resistance to chloride ion penetration and micro-morphology of the cement concrete before and after sealing and curing were compared and analyzed. The results show that the compressive strength of the cement concrete after sealing and curing did not increase significantly. A layer of sealing and curing agent film on the surface of cement concrete was formed, so that the surface hardness of cement concrete was increased from 6.5 to 8.5, the surface abrasion resistance of cement concrete was significantly improved, the chloride ion penetration depth decreased by 42.8% and the migration coefficient of unstable chloride ion decreased by 37.2%. The sealing and curing agent penetrated into the interior of cement concrete to form silicate products. The silicate products attached on the surface and filled the pores in cement concrete, which improved the internal micro-structure and increased the density of cement concrete.
