Abstract
Bis-imidazolinyl borate derivatives (a, b, c) were synthesized with diglyceric acid borate (DGB) and ethylenediamine or diethylenetriamine or β-hydroxyethyl ethylenediamine as raw materials. Corrosion inhibition of above three corrosion inhibitors to Q235 carbon steel in 5% HCl pickling solution were studied using SEM, static weight loss method, and electrochemical methods. The results showed that under the conditions of adding 100 mg/L inhibitors and 6 h immersion time, the corrosion inhibition rates were more than 97% to Q235 carbon steel in 60 ℃, 5% HCl. The adsorption followed the Langmuir adsorption isotherm and was a spontaneous chemical nature. The charge transfer resistance and the arc diameter of EIS increased significantly as the concentration of corrosion inhibitor increased.
