Anticorrosive Technology of Steam Generator Tube Sheet Holes During Storage

Abstract
Steam generator tube sheet has to be stored for a long time in the workshop during manufacturing. In order to prevent corrosion of tube sheet holes, it is necessary to determine an effective and suitable anticorrosion method for engineering application. The anticorrosive effects of various methods were compared by neutral salt spray test and damp heat cyclic test, including the methods now used and the volatile corrosion inhibition technology to be recommended. After the tests, the corrosive cause of the tube sheet holes was analyzed, and whether harmful elements were released on the holes' surfaces were identified. According to the test and analysis results, the anticorrosive effect of the volatile corrosion inhibition technology was found to be optimal, which did not release harmful elements and was easy to operate, so it is suitable for the anticorrosion protection of steam generator tube sheet holes during storage.
