Abstract
Carbon steel samples were placed in Qingdao tidal range-full immersion area for a 30-day marine environment exposure test. The results show that the maximum potential difference between the samples in these two regions was about 100 mV when exposed for 30 days, and the polarization characteristics were obvious. The net current output of the sample in the full immersion increased with the increase of the sample height; the net current inflow of the sample in the tidal range zone increased with the increase of the protection sample height. The absolute value of the current of the sample at high tide was greater than that of the sample at low tide; the corrosion rate of samples in the full immersion zone was higher than that in the tidal range. The corrosion peak of the sample in the full immersion zone appeard below the tidal level line, and the corrosion peak of the sample in the tidal range appeard in the middle tide zone.
