Abstract
Pitting behavior of 2205 duplex stainless steel at different temperatures, different polarization potentials and different Cl- content was studied by potentiodynamic and constant potential scanning. The results showed that as the temperature increased, the pitting breakdown potential of 2205 duplex stainless steel decreased and the passivation interval narrowed. The critical pitting temperature of 2205 duplex stainless steel in 6% NaCl solution was about 56 ℃. When the mass fraction of Cl- was 6% - 24%, with the increase of Cl- content, the critical pitting temperature decreased, but the amplitude was relatively small, and the corrosion current increased greatly. Temperature and polarization potential had a great influence on the pitting behavior of 2205 duplex stainless steel. In the research range, the influence of Cl- content was small.
