Application of Magnetic Flux Leakage Internal Detection Technology in Corrosion Evaluation and Analysis of Crude Oil Pipeline

    • There were many abnormal points in the magnetic flux leakage test results of a crude oil pipeline. For the 9 most serious abnormal points of metal loss, corrosion evaluation and pressure analysis were carried out in accordance with domestic pipeline corrosion evaluation standards. The results of corrosion evaluation and pressure analysis were used as the basis for theoretical screening, and finally 8 abnormal internal inspection points were selected for excavation verification and defect repair. Excavation verification verified the accuracy of the internal magnetic flux leakage detection results, and proved that the internal magnetic flux leakage detection technology could play a role in pipeline corrosion evaluation and analysis.
