Abstract
The catalytic cracking flue gas wet desulfurization units of several Sinopec's petrochemical enterprises experienced serious corrosion problems in recent years. In order to reduce equipment corrosion and make it operate long term and properly, the corrosion of several sets of catalytic cracking flue gas wet desulfurization equipment was investigated, and the actual corrosion problems of equipment, towers and internal components in different corrosion areas were systematically analyzed. Combined with the results of the on site corrosion coupon testing and laboratory corrosion evaluation research, protective countermeasures were proposed from three aspects: material selection, process and construction quality control. The results show that there were five different corrosive environments in the FCC wet flue gas desulfurization device, and it was necessary to select suitable anti-corrosion materials according to the corrosion characteristics of different areas. The corrosion-prone parts of wet desulfurization system equipment were mainly towers, chimneys, tower internals and pump impellers.
