    Numerical Simulation of Cathodic Protection Potential Distribution on Exterior of Tank Bottom Affected by Different Factors

    • Using BEASY software, a mathematical model of the cathodic protection potential distribution on the outer wall of tank bottom plate was established. The influence of the number of confluence points, the number of anodes, the amount of cathodic protection current, the damage rate of coating and the soil resistivity on the potential distribution of the tank floor were studied. The results show that the internal resistance of storage tank floor metal, the anode ground bed and the cathodic polarization were the three main factors affecting the distribution of cathodic potential of the storage tank floor.
