Corrosion Causes of a High Parameter Generator Unit and Preventive Measures

During the overhaul of a 600MW generator unit, corrosion was found in the blades and baffles of a low-pressure cylinder of steam turbine. It was found that the corrosion of the steam turbine was caused by chloride ion corrosion through analyzing the corrosion morphology, corrosion product composition and working conditions. And some corresponding measures were proposed to prevent the corrosion.
