Abstract
Through salt spray accelerated corrosion test and electrochemical test, the corrosion resistance of inorganic zinc (IOZ) coating used for containment vessel of nuclear power plant and thermal spraying zinc (TSZ) coating was analyzed. The results showed that compared with the TSZ coating, the IOZ coating had fewer defects and salt spots attached to the surface after salt spray accelerated corrosion at different periods of time, the coating structure was dense and the corrosion rate was lower. The corrosion products of two coatings were mainly Zn5(OH)8Cl2H2O. As the corrosion time increased, the resistance of IOZ coating increased, indicating that it not only had cathodic protection and shielding properties, but also had more excellent and lasting corrosion resistance.
