    Application of Polymer Material Repair Technology to Backwash Filter of Nuclear Power Plant

    • During the operation of backwash filter of Tianwan nuclear power station, it was found that the bottom of backwash filter was sprayed with water due to corrosion. Since backwash filter housing was made of cast iron, an effective welding repair method could not be provided on site. By analyzing the corrosion causes of backwash filter from the aspects of coating and seawater environment, a rapid repair technology of polymer material was proposed. After the repair was completed, the equipment has been running for more than 2 a without recurring of corrosion and leakage.
