    Application of Fixed Anode Impressed Current Cathodic Protection System to Offshore Platform

    • According to the structure of jacket platform, a fixed type impressed current cathodic protection (ICCP) system including auxiliary anode, reference electrode, multi-channel controller and matching monitoring and control software was designed. The results showed that the system run stablely for about 3 years, the surface potential of the jacket measured by silver chloride reference electrode was between -1 001 and -1 050 mV. The sacrificial anode combined with fixed anode impressed current cathodic protection system design made the new platform break through the limitation of fixed design life by innovation in advance from the design, and can meet the subsequent life extension demand.
