Abstract
According to the manufacturing process of 22MnB5 parts for automobiles, uncoated steel sheet, Al-Si coated steel sheet and hot galvanized steel sheet were treated by hot-stamping and quenching, and the uncoated steel sheet was galvanized after hot-stamping and quenching. The changes in the morphology of the part coating before and after hot-stamping and quenching were observed by optical microscope. The corrosion resistance of parts treated by different processes was studied by neutral salt-spray test. The coating obtained by galvanization after hot-stamping and quenching on a part was dense and uniform without damage, and had excellent cathodic protection effect. The corrosion resistance of the part was far superior to that of Al-Si coated steel sheet, hot galvanized steel sheet and uncoated plate. Galvanization after hot-stamping and quenching can improve the corrosion resistance of automobile parts.
