Abstract
Taking a gas gate station as an example, the optimized scheme of regional cathodic protection was determined through data investigation, field testing and numerical simulation. Numerical simulation was used to calculate and compare the effects of three schemes in gate area cathodic protection, including impressed current shallow-buried distributed auxiliary anode ground bed, deep well anode and shallow buried anode joint protection, and sacrificial anode. The results show that a large number of anodes were used in the sacrificial anode scheme, but most of the pipelines were still not in effective protection, while the other two schemes could protect the pipelines effectively. Considering the implementation conditions and protection effect, the cathodic protection scheme of impressed current shallow-buried distributed auxiliary anode was finally selected.
