Abstract
Using weightlessness analysis, electron probe analysis, X-ray diffraction analysis and electrochemical testing, the corrosion behavior of a Nb-containing weathering bridge steel in a simulated industrial atmospheric environment was studied, and the effect of Nb on the corrosion mechanism of weathering bridge steel was studied. The results showed that the corrosion kinetics curve of the weathering bridge steel containing Nb had a compound power function law, indicating that increasing the Nb content could improve the corrosion resistance of the bridge steel in the early stage of corrosion, and in the later stage of corrosion, increasing the Nb content had a relatively weak effect on the protection of the rust layer. From the perspective of slowing down the development trend of material corrosion, the effect of Nb was not significant.
