Abstract
Aiming at the perforation problem of copper tube in an evaporator of a water source heat pump unit using in-situ leaching solution as a low-temperature heat source, full immersion corrosion tests (simulating corrosion and accelerated corrosion) were carried out to T2 copper in simulated in-situ leaching solution. The corrosion behavior of T2 copper was analyzed by macroscopic and microscopic surface morphology, corrosion rates and polarization curves of the samples. The results show that Cl- in the in-situ leaching solution had a promotion effect on the corrosion of T2 copper, and the difference in oxygen supply led to severe localized corrosion in the hypoxic area. So T2 copper should not be used as heat transfer material for in-situ leaching solution.
