Interference Cases of Cathodic Protection in Confined Area to External Pipelines

    • In order to ensure the safe operation of buried steel pipelines, special tests and studies were carried out on the cathodic DC interference of regional cathodic protection to pipelines outside the station. Through the on-off potential test, the regional cathodic protection DC power that interferes with the external pipeline is determined, and the length of the affected section is determined through potential survey of the pipeline outside the station. According to the characteristics of cathodic protection in confined area, the causes of external pipeline cathodic interference are analyzed.
