Abstract
In view of frequent corrosion failure of heat exchange equipment in oil and gas field stations, a case study and analysis was carried out. It was found that corrosion perforation was the main failure type of the heat exchangers, which mostly occurred in tube bundle bodies and the weld positions between tube bundle and tube sheet. The service medium was mostly water-containing oil and gas and circulating water. The failure of heat exchangers were not only related to the material and service medium of heat exchangers, but also related to the structural design, welding process, on-site installation location and production management system of heat exchangers. Specific prevention and control measures were proposed from the four aspects of material selection design, structural optimization, coating protection, installation and construction, and management optimization to ensure the safe and stable operation of the oil and gas production system.
