Abstract
Liquid lead-bismuth eutectic (LLBE) is an important candidate material for the coolant of accelerator driven subcritical system and reactor. Steel materials will be corroded in contact with LLBE. Therefore, understanding the interaction mechanism between LLBE and steel materials plays an important role in revealing the corrosion mechanism of steel materials in LLBE. At present, the micro scale simulation technology has been widely used to study the micro mechanism of the interaction between LLBE and steel materials. The application of microscale simulation technology to the study of steel corrosion and protection, and corrosion product pollution in LLBE are systematically introduced. The development directions of microscale simulation of interaction between LLBE and steel materials in future are proposed.
