Abstract
The corrosion behaviors in clay soil environment and sand soil environment of X80 pipeline steel with significant direct current interference were investigated respectively. The results showed that the corrosion rates of X80 steel in soil environment and sand soil environment with a high voltage direct current (HVDC) interference of 100 V were 10.77 μm/h and 1.27 μm/h, respectively. The corrosion rate of samples in clay was 8.5 times that in sand. The corrosion of the sample in sandy soil environment after interference was relatively mild, because the diffusion resistance in sand was relatively high, and the current density of the sample in it was relatively low.
