Corrosion Resistance of Asparagus Polyurea Coating System

Abstract
A heavy-duty anti-corrosion coating system with aspatagus polyurea coating as the top coat was prepared, and cyclic salt spray tests, xenon lamp aging acceleration tests, and water absorption tests were conducted. The anti-corrosion performance and corrosion aging behavior of the coating system with Tiandong polyurea coating as the top coat were studied through morphology observation, energy spectrum analysis, electrochemical testing, coating thickness and adhesion testing. The results showed that the Tiandong polyurea topcoat paired with a heavy-duty anti-corrosion primer and intermediate paint had excellent salt spray corrosion resistance and light aging performance, strong adhesion, small water absorption, and could effectively resist the impact of humid and hot salt spray atmospheric environment, effectively protect the metal substrate.
