Research Progress of Sepiolite in Epoxy Resin Composite Coating

Sepiolite is a non-toxic and harmless natural clay mineral with large specific surface area, good adsorption and strong acid and alkali corrosion resistance. The microstructure and chemical composition of sepiolite are introduced, the preparation methods and properties of several typical sepiolite modified epoxy resin composite coatings are described, the anti-corrosion mechanism of the composite coatings is summarized, and the development of sepiolite in the field of epoxy composite coatings is proposed.
