Abstract
Based on the technical requirements for anode quality in the cathodic protection design of the South China Sea deepwater project, the performance and quality of 666 furnace produced anodes for marine engineering were analyzed. By analyzing the relationship between the electrochemical performance, metallographic structure, and dissolution morphology of aluminum alloy sacrificial anodes, the main problems currently existing in deepwater sacrificial anodes were discussed, suggestions for the production and quality assurance of deepwater sacrificial anodes were provieded.
