Abstract
Electrochemical tests were carried out to investigate the anti-corrosion effects of three kinds of coatings, epoxy resin, glass flake and hot melt adhesive, on carbon steel bolts. The anti-corrosion effect of the combined protection method of zinc wire and coating was studied by salt spray test. The results showed that among the three bolt anti-corrosion coatings, the corrosion resistance of the hot melt adhesive coating was better than that of the glass flake coating, and the corrosion resistance of the glass flake coating was better than that of the epoxy resin coating. The combined protection method of three coatings and zinc wire could protect bolts from corrosion in 48 h salt spray corrosion test. The combined protection method of hot melt adhesive and zinc wire had the best corrosion resistance in 72 h salt spray corrosion test. And the hot melt adhesive coating also has the advantages of convenient construction and easy removal, which provides a new way for bolt corrosion protection under salt spray environment.
