Research Status of HVDC Interference Monitoring and Detection Technology for Buried Pipeline

    • When the ground pole monopole geodetic loop of high voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission system is operating, a large amount of current enters the ground, causing the ground potential near the ground pole to rise. The pipelines and auxiliary facilities near the ground pole may face risks such as pipe body corrosion, pipe body hydrogen embrittlement, corrosion layer peeling, and equipment ablation. In order to monitor and test the influence of HVDC ground pole on pipelines, relevant research cases at home and abroad were investigated and summarized. Several HVDC interference monitoring and detection methods are introduced, and their future development direction is prospected and some suggestion are proposed.
