Abstract
In view of the light blue powdery rust that appeared as a feature on the surface of the bronze artifacts excavated from Sanxingdui, a new understanding and supplement were proposed based on the analysis and testing method such as micro-Raman spectrometer and X-ray fluorescence spectrometer. The results show that the light blue powdery rust characteristic of Sanxingdui was mainly composed of malachite and amorphous Sn compounds, and there were lead carbonate and pyromorphite on the surface of the light blue powdery rust. There were three different layering states of light blue powdery rust depending on the form of presence. Among them, the formation of phosphate chloride lead ore was related to the large number of ivory buried in the Sanxingdui site.
