Corrosion Detection of Heat Exchanger Tube Bundles Based on Quantitative Risk Assessment Technology

    • In view of the inspection necessity and proportion of heat exchange tube bundle during current domestic heat exchanger periodic inspection, the quantitative risk assessment technology was used to calculate the failure possibility and failure consequence of the tube bundle of a shell-and-tube heat exchanger in a refining and chemical enterprise. Subsequently, the eddy current and endoscopic techniques were used to detect the corrosion of 473 tube bundles. A total of 22 tube bundles with excessive defects were found, including 5 corroded perforated tube bundles, and the causes of corrosion were analyzed. The results of quantitative risk assessment reflect the corrosion state of heat exchanger tube bundles to a certain extent, which can provide scientific guidance for the formulation of corrosion detection strategies and have certain engineering application value.
