    Corrosion Characteristics of Stainless Steel Components in Grid Equipment

    • Stainless steel with excellent corrosion resistance is widely used in power transmission and transformation equipment in power grids. However, a large number of corrosion and damage cases of stainless steel components were also found in equipment maintenance. The corrosion characteristics and causes of stainless steel components in transformer oil chromatography online monitoring device, valve cooling system pressure equalizing electrode of converter station, isolating switch, pipeline flange and current transformer are analyzed. Based on the corrosion types of stainless steel, the corrosion mechanism and characteristics are summarized, and corresponding protective measures for stainless steel corrosion in power grid equipment are proposed, providing reference for the corrosion control of stainless steel components in power grids.
