Abstract
The corrosion behavior of aluminum silicon alloy in marine environment was studied using scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer. The results indicate that the pinholes and eutectic silicon aggregation areas in aluminum silicon alloys preferentially underwent pitting, with corrosion extending along the aluminum silicon interface and grain boundaries, ultimately developing into large-scale overall corrosion.
