Abstract
Evaluating corrosion defects of oil and gas pipelines is a necessary measure to ensure pipeline safety. The pressure burst data of domestic and foreign full-size pipelines were collected, and the pipeline burst pressure database was established. The calculation results of different evaluation methods were compared with the test blasting pressures. And the applicability and accuracy of each evaluation method were compared from two aspects of pipeline strength and defect length. Based on the comparison results and the finite element analysis method, an optimal selection model for residual strength evaluation of corroded pipelines was proposed.
