Abstract
Gas pipeline network is the lifeline of urban energy supply, and corrosion hazard is an important factor affecting the safe operation of buried steel gas pipelines. In recent years, many gas leakage and explosion incidents have occurred on buried gas steel pipelines induced by corrosion in China, which has attracted extensive attention of the state and local governments. Combined with the service time, environmental characteristics, the application history and current situation of corrosion protection measures of urban gas buried steel pipelines was systematically analyzed from anti-corrosion coating, cathodic protection and the effects of stray current, and the corrosion and protection problems that need to be solved urgently in corrosion protection work of urban gas pipelines were summarized, which could provide reference for the safe operation of urban gas pipeline network.
