Abstract
Mo2NiB2 cermet were prepared using liquid-phase sintering technology, and the effects of different sintering temperature (1 280 ℃) holding times (insulation times) on the phase composition, microstructure, hardness, friction and wear properties, and corrosion resistance of Mo2NiB2 cermet were studied. The results show that Mo2NiB2 cermet were mainly composed of Mo2NiB2 phase, MoB phase, and MoNi phase. With the extension of insulation time, the amount of Mo2NiB2 phase generated first increased and then decreased. When the insulation time was 40 minutes, the hardness of the Mo2NiB2 cermet was the highest (2 784.9 HV0.2), the friction and wear performance was the best, the corrosion resistance was the best, and the corrosion rate was 0.09 mm/a. However, when the insulation time was 10 minutes, the various properties of the sample deteriorated markedly.
