Research Progress on Corrosion Failure and Anti-Corrosion Measures for Transmission Towers

With the continuous growth of power generation, the requirements for the reliability and service life of the steel structure of the transmission tower are getting higher and higher. The corrosion types and the corrosion monitoring technology of transmission towers are summarized. Different kinds of corrosion monitoring technologies of transmission towers are introduced, including ultrasonic guided wave detection technology and unmanned air vehicle (UAV) image recognition. The main anti-corrosion technologies of transmission towers are summarized and prospected.
