Chloride-Induced Stress Corrosion Cracking and Its Mitigation Measures of Spent Fuel Dry Storage Canister in Nuclear Power Plants
-
Abstract
The effects of the deposition and deliquescence of chloride salts, surface temperature and relative humidity and weld residual stress on the chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking (CISCC) of dry storage canister were summarized. Based on this, the ranking criteria of CISCC susceptibility was proposed and the potential measures and suggestions to mitigate and prevent CISCC were introduced.
