Screening Test Methods for Inhibitors Used for Oil and Gas Gathering Pipelines

There are many corrosive substances such as H2O, H2S, CO2 and so on which can damage the pipelines severely in oil and gas gather pipelines. In the field, the anti-corrosion technology of corrosion inhibitors is widely used because of its economy. However, there are still some problems about the inhibition effect of corrosion inhibitors in practical applications. The present paper summarizes the researches on the methods to screen inhibitors, in order to provide systemic and effective methods for the evaluation of corrosion inhibitors, and to promote the development of anti-corrosion technology of corrosion inhibitors.
