Application and Progress of External Coatings of Steel Pipelines

Coating is the main method to protect steel pipelines from corrosion. Various extemal anti-corrosion coatings have been developed and used in China in different periods of construction. The best coatings are choosen based on the properties of coatings and needs of construction. This article introduces the main characters, varieties and application of external coatings of steel pipe, and the development trend is also presented.
