The Aging Characteristic of Polyaspartic Ester Polyurea Coatings with Different Hard Segment Contents in Marine Environment

Polyurea coatings with different contents of hard segment polyaspartic ester(PAE) were investigated through aging tests of marine environment outdoor exposure and salt fog testing.The coatings showed excellent durability in marine environment.The percentages of tarnish,strength change and elongation at break change were 12.7%-14.7%,5.2%-6.6% and 4.3%-5.4% after 350 days outdoor exposure and 3.3%-5.7%,1.1%-40% and 2.9%-4.4%,respectively,after 350 days salt fog testing.
