    An Electrochemical Study on Ni-Fe-P Coating in Simulant Solutions with H2S/CO2

    • A Ni-Fe-P electroless plating coating was prepared on N80 steel which is widely used. The composition, morphology, structure of the coating were analyzed by SEM,EDS,XRD, and so on. The corrosion resistance of the Ni-Fe-P coating in H2S/CO2 was evaluated by electrochemical methods. The results showed that the corrosion resistance of N80 steel was improved greatly after the treatment of electroless plating Ni-Fe-P. The structure of the Ni-Fe-P coating was amorphous and the results of electrochemical tests indicated that the coating had a strong passivation tendency in aqueous H2S/CO2 solution. These test results showed that the Ni-Fe-P coating had excellent resistance to H2S/CO2 corrosion.
