Causes of Welded Corrosion and Leakage of 304 Stainless Steel Thin-wall Container
The welded corrosion and leakage of a 304 stainless steel thin-wall container were analyzed by means of macroscopic examination, chemical composition analysis, metallographic examination, SEM and EDS analysis. The results showed that unsuitable welding method, poor weld quality and no pickling and passivation after welding caused the early corrosion and leakage.
