Abstract
The inhibition effect of Jasminum Nudiflorum Lindl leaves extract (JNLLE) on the corrosion of zinc in 0.1 mol/L H3PO4 solution was studied by weight loss and potentiodynamic polarization curve methods. The results showed that JNLLE is a good inhibitor for zinc in 0.1 mol/L H3PO4 solution, and the inhibition efficiency increases with the concentration of inhibitor and decreases with the temperature. The adsorption of JNLLE on zinc surface obeys Langmuir adsorption isotherm. The adsorption thermodynamic parameters including adsorption free energy ΔG0, adsorption enthalpy ΔH0 and adsorption entropy ΔS0 were also calculated. Based on these parameters, the adsorption behavior is discussed. Potentiodynamic polarization curves showed that JNLLE acts as a mixed-type inhibitor.
