Abstract
The effects of surface treatment including ion intruding, electroless platingnickel, Al sparing and Zn-Fe alloy plating on the corrosion fatigue behavior of 40Cr steel in 3%NaCl solution were investigated by the rotating bending fatigue testing, and the corrosion potentials of the steel after above four kinds of surface treatment were measured during the testing. The results show that all these four kinds of surface treatment can improve the corrosion fatigue performance of 40Cr steel. The variation of the corrosion potentials of the steel during the corrosion fatigue testing reflected the main stages of the corrosion fatigue fracture in some degrees and revealed the electrochemical behavior of the corrosion fatigue fracture.
