Corrosion Risk Assessment Based on AHP for Buried Gas Pipelines

    • Corrosion is a major factor which threatens the safety of buried gas pipelines. A fault tree analysis (FTA) technique with corrosive failure as the top event was quilt and the major reason of corrosion failure was confirmed by analytic hierarchy process (AHP) method. A hierarchical model on basis of FTA was established and the weight of corrosion factors was confirmed. An available method to assess the corrosion risk in buried gas pipelines was poesented based on corrosion theory and risk assessment theory by applying FTA and AHP methods.
