Abstract
An orthogonal experiment was designed to optimize the Ce-based process in CeCl3 solution with two kinds of accelerants of sodium benzoate and sodium carbonate to replace the Cr6+ conversion process on Mg-Gd-Y-Zr magnesium alloy.The morphology and formation mechanism of the conversion film were studied by SEM and electrochemical experiment.the optimal process was 30 ℃,40 min,CeCl3 0.005 mol/L with the sodium benzoate as accelerant,and the temperature should be 10 ℃ when the accelerant was sodium carbonate.The obtained coating has good corrosion resistance.
