Effect of Ion Concentration on CO2 Corrosion Evaluated by Orthogonal Experiment

    • Orthogonality experiments were performed at normal temperature and pressure to investigate the influence of six kinds of ions with different concentrations on the corrosion behavior of N80 steel in a given corrosion medium. It was found that Ca2+ and CO2-3 in the liquid medium saturated with CO2 had great effect on the corrosion rate, the next was Fe2+,and other ions had little influence. With the increase of the concentration of Cl-,the corrosion rate increased firstly and then decreased, but the change was not obvious. With the increase of the concentration of Fe2+,the corrosion rate reduced. With increasing the concentration of SO2-4 and Mg2+,the corrosion rate increased, but Mg2+ had little influence. With the increase of the concentration of Ca2+ and CO2-3,the corrosion rate decreased first and then increased.
