Research Progress of FRP Pipes in Oil Fields

The FRP pipe, as an excellent new product, is well applied in the oil field. But its aging mechanism in the oil field environment is unclear and we don’t have enough systemic test data about it. This article introduces the application of FRP pipe in oil field and reviews its failure modes, performance evaluation and life prediction methods, so as to provide suggestions to actual production and application in the oil fields and help to maximize the potential economic and social benefits.
