Corrosion Resistance of 5A01 Al Alloy Plate for Marine

The stress corrosion cracking and exfoliation corrosion resistance of 5A01 Al-Mg alloy with high level of Mg for marine were studied by means of stress corrosion and exfoliation tests of Al-Mg alloys. The microstructures was observed by metallurgical microscopy and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The results show that 5A01 aluminum alloy plate has good stress corrosion cracking and exfoliation corrosion resistance. Because there is no continuous precipitation or network of β-phase at grain boundaries.
